TK-3E Bentley Probe Extension cable precursors calibrator, portable instrument for static and dynamic calibration of Bentley eddy current Sensor 3300XL probe cable precursors. Static calibration is done by an additional micrometer; Dynamic calibration is performed by a special rotating inclined disk that simulates dynamic mechanical vibration. Due to improvements in sensor functions over the years and stricter performance standards, the system was unable to provide the required accuracy for sensor system verification in accordance with API670.
The TK-3E calibrator simulates shaft vibration and displacement to calibrate the monitor. It verifies the working status of the monitor reading device and the status of the eddy current sensor system. A proper calibration system means accurate readings and sensor inputs. A spindle micrometer is used to check the sensor system and calibrate the displacement monitor. The probe mounting joint supplied with the TK-3E holds the probe in place while the target surface under test moves in calibrated increments toward or away from the probe end. The output of the preprocessor is recorded by the voltmeter. The vibration monitor is calibrated using a motor driven tilting disc. A rocker arm retainer on the disc holds the eddy current probe in place. By adjusting the retainer and probe to the appropriate position, the vibration size of the machine can reach the expected value. The mechanical vibration is measured by a dial micrometer in a calibration device. The readings of the vibration monitor can be compared with the known output of the mechanical vibration signal (i.e. the reading taken by the dial meter). The mechanical vibration signal measured by TK-3E ranges from 50-254 μm peak-to-peak values.
Bentley TK-3E eddy current sensor calibration instrument is the product of bently Company, input power supply 220Vac, vibration amplitude range: 50μm-254μm, spindle micrometer range: : 0-25.4 mm, target surface to be tested and inclined disc: AISI4140 alloy steel, commonly used P/N models 177313-02-01 and 177313-02-02, to complete the calibration of Bentley 3300XL eddy current sensors, extension cables and Bentley precursors.
