NI PXI-2540 RF microwave switch matrix module
Application field
Communication system testing: It is widely applied in the research and development, production and testing of wireless communication systems. It can be used to connect test instruments such as RF signal sources, spectrum analyzers, and vector signal analyzers with the objects under test such as base stations and terminal devices, to achieve the testing of various performance indicators of the communication system, such as frequency response, power measurement, modulation and demodulation analysis, etc. In the test of 5G communication systems, PXI-2540 can be used to connect multiple radio frequency channels of 5G base stations to achieve multi-channel testing and verification of 5G signals.
Radar system testing: It plays a significant role in the design, commissioning and performance evaluation of radar systems. The radio frequency signals generated by the radar transmitter can be switched to different antenna arrays or receiving channels to achieve the testing of functions such as radar beamforming, target detection and tracking. Meanwhile, the radar echo signal can also be routed to the corresponding test instrument for analysis, helping engineers optimize the performance of the radar system. For example, in the test of phased array radar, the PXI-2540 can be used to quickly switch different combinations of transmitting and receiving channels, simulate different beam orientations, and test the scanning performance of the radar.
Electronic testing and Measurement: In various electronic testing and measurement scenarios, when flexible control and switching of multiple RF signals are required, PXI-2540 is a commonly used solution. For instance, in the testing of devices such as radio frequency integrated circuits (RFIC) and microwave components, it can accurately apply test signals to different ports of the device under test and transmit response signals to measuring instruments, providing a guarantee for the precise assessment of device performance. In addition, it can also be used in fields such as electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing and radio frequency interference (RFI) testing. By switching different signal sources and receiving channels, it simulates various complex electromagnetic environments to evaluate the anti-interference ability and electromagnetic compatibility of the equipment.
