NI PXI-2534 RF switch matrix module
Functional characteristics
Flexible signal routing: Through software programming, the connection between any input channel and any output channel can be conveniently achieved. Users can flexibly configure signal paths according to test requirements, which is suitable for various complex RF test system architectures.
Multi-channel synchronous control: Supports the synchronous switching function of multiple channels. It can achieve the simultaneous switching of multiple RF signals through external triggering or software control, facilitating multi-channe-related tests, such as concurrent tests of multi-channel RF communication systems and beam switching tests of phased array radar systems.
Hot-swappable function: It allows modules to be safely inserted or removed during system operation without shutting down the entire test system, enhancing the maintainability and flexibility of the system and reducing test time delays and cost increases caused by system downtime.
Software compatibility: Compatible with a variety of NI test software and development environments, such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, etc., and also supports other commonly used test software and programming languages, facilitating engineers’ system integration and test program development, and enabling the rapid establishment of an efficient RF test system.
Application field
Communication system testing: In the research and development, production and testing of wireless communication systems, it is used to connect test instruments such as radio frequency signal sources, spectrum analyzers, and vector signal analyzers with the objects under test such as base stations and terminal devices, to achieve the testing of various performance indicators of the communication system, such as frequency response, power measurement, modulation and demodulation analysis, etc.
Radar system testing: In the design, debugging and performance evaluation of radar systems, the RF signals generated by radar transmitters can be switched to different antenna arrays or receiving channels to achieve the testing of functions such as radar beamforming, target detection and tracking. Meanwhile, the radar echo signal can also be routed to the corresponding test instrument for analysis, helping engineers optimize the performance of the radar system. For example, in the test of phased array radar, the PXI-2534 can be used to quickly switch different combinations of transmitting and receiving channels, simulate different beam orientations, and test the scanning performance of the radar.
Electronic testing and Measurement: In various electronic testing and measurement scenarios, when flexible control and switching of multiple RF signals are required, PXI-2534 is a commonly used solution. In addition, it can also be used in fields such as electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing and radio frequency interference (RFI) testing. By switching different signal sources and receiving channels, it simulates various complex electromagnetic environments to evaluate the anti-interference ability and electromagnetic compatibility of the equipment.
