NI PXI-2510 Fault Insertion Unit
Specification parameters
Number of channels: 68 channels.
Voltage: 150V.
Current: 2A.
Relay characteristics: Each channel is composed of three single-pole single-throw (SPST) relays. Each fault bus contains a 4×1 input multiplexer, allowing for the implantation of more types and quantities of faults through software control, offering greater flexibility.
Functional characteristics
High safety: Compliant with the IEC 61010-1 international standard, the design has been inspected by third-party institutions such as UL, ensuring reliable safety in fault insertion applications with high voltage and high current.
Strong reliability: It integrates an on-board relay counting and tracking function, allowing you to view the number of operating cycles of each relay. It also provides replaceable relay kits for easy replacement at the end of the relay’s service life, enhancing the long-term reliability of the system. Furthermore, through the High Accelerated Life Test (HALT), the mechanical robustness under harsh environments such as high vibration has been guaranteed.
Easy to control: In the Windows environment, interactive configuration and testing can be carried out through the NI-SWITCH soft front panel (SFP). For automation control, the accompanying NI-DAQmx hardware driver can programmatically access all the functions of the module through LabVIEW Real-Time and the Windows operating system. It can usually be controlled through NI VeriStand software, enabling the management of FIU and the configuration of other real-time test applications in the same environment.
Application field
It is mainly applied in hardware-in-the-loop test systems to create signal faults between the electronic control unit (ECU) and the rest of the system, test, describe or verify the behavior of the ECU under specific fault conditions, and is suitable for application scenarios with high reliability requirements for ECUs in fields such as automobiles, aircraft, aircraft and machinery.
