The PFTL101B-2.0KN 3BSE004185R1 is a tension pressure sensor from ABB based on Pressductor technology that uses changes in the permeability of a magnetic material under mechanical stress to measure force.

Measurement principle: The sensor consists of a specially treated stack of measuring bodies, and the primary and secondary windings are wound through four holes in the sensor and are perpendicular to each other. The primary winding generates a magnetic field through alternating current. When there is no load, there is no magnetic field around the secondary winding. When the sensor is subjected to mechanical force in the measurement direction, the magnetic field propagation changes, the secondary winding generates an AC voltage, and the control unit converts it into a DC voltage proportional to the force. When the direction of the force changes, the sensor signal polarity also changes.
Measuring range: 2.0kN, can accurately measure the tension in this range.
Installation mode: There is no special installation direction. You can select the best direction based on the application scenario. Common installation modes include horizontal installation and inclined installation. When selecting the mounting method, care should be taken to mount the sensor in a direction that provides sufficient measurement force to achieve the highest accuracy.
