Frequency range: Sine waves and square waves can reach 20MHz, while triangular waves and ramp waves can reach 1MHz.
Frequency resolution: 0.355μHz.
Sampling rate: up to 400MS/s, but for slope and triangular wave signals, the sampling rate drops to 100MS/s.
Output voltage: The amplitude range of the output signal is -5V to + 5V, and it is 10Vpp under a 50Ω load.
Output impedance: 50Ω or 75Ω is optional.
Functional characteristics
Signal generation: Based on Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) technology, various signals such as sine waves, square waves, triangular waves, pseudo-random noise and direct current can be generated.
Channel function: The channel can be selected as a trigger (input) or event (output), and it can withstand overload voltages ranging from -2V to + 7V without damage. The output channel is selectable and can be disabled, with an amplitude resolution of less than 0.06%. There is also an optional FIR filter available only when the sampling clock rate is higher than 10MS/s.
Synchronization function: Supports synchronization with other modules based on NI synchronization and memory cores (SMC), enabling synchronization between modules with picosecond-level accuracy.
Software support: Supports NI-FGEN driver software, which can be used on NI software platforms such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, as well as in general development environments like C++, C#,.NET, etc., facilitating users to perform operations such as waveform generation, control, and data analysis.
Application fields: It is often used in application scenarios that require rapid analog signal generation, such as electronic testing, automated testing systems, signal processing teaching experiments, circuit board fault diagnosis, etc. It can be used as a signal source to provide precise excitation signals for various tests and experiments.
