NI PCI-5401 Arbitrary waveform/Function Generator
Performance parameters
Number of channels: 1 channel.
Resolution: 12 bits.
Frequency range: Sine waves can reach 16MHz.
Frequency resolution: 9.31mHz.
Sampling rate: 40MS/s.
Output impedance: The software can select 50Ω and 75Ω.
Output attenuation: 0 to 73dB.
Storage capacity: It can store up to 16,384 waveform samples, and multiple frequency steps within a range of up to 512 can be stored in the instruction FIFO.
Functional characteristics
Waveform generation: Based on Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) technology, standard waveforms such as sine waves, transistor-transistor logic (TTL) waveforms, square waves, and triangular waves can be generated.
Synchronization function: Supports phase-locked loop (PLL) synchronization with external clocks, and also features real-time system integration (RTI) and PXI triggering functions, facilitating synchronization with other devices.
Operation mode: It features step-by-step, continuous and single-step operation modes, which can meet different application requirements.
Software support: Using the NI-FGen driver software, operations can be carried out through Matlab and the instrument control toolbox. It can also be used in NI software platforms such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, as well as general development environments such as C++, C#,.NET, etc. It is convenient for users to perform operations such as waveform generation, control and data analysis.
Application fields: It is commonly used in electronic testing, automated testing systems, signal processing teaching experiments and other fields, and can be used as a signal source to provide precise excitation signals for various tests and experiments.
