GE IC698RMX016 Redundant memory switch module
Functional use: It can be used as a node in a reflective memory network or as a specific link connecting two cpus in a redundant system for sharing and exchanging data between PLCS and other computing devices.
Performance parameter
Memory capacity: There is 16MB of SDRAM user memory with 16MB of reflected memory capacity.
Optical network speed: up to 2.12Gbaud, data transfer rate of 2.1GB/s.
Electrical parameters: The operating voltage is + 5V DC, and the current is required to be 1.8A.
Communication interface: Equipped with IEC 61754-20 standard optical fiber LC connector with zirconium ceramic core, maximum insertion loss of 0.35dB, return loss of -30 dB.
Temperature range: Operating temperature between -20 °C and + 85°C.
Installation and configuration
Installation location: Installed in the rack of the RX7i system, slots 3 and 4 of the host frame are recommended to provide VME interrupt request priority, but are not mandatory.
Configuration parameters: You can configure the redundant transmission mode, node ID, network memory offset, malicious host, and interrupt enable. If the redundant link operation is selected, these parameters are set by the CPU and cannot be configured.
In addition, the module supports hot swap and network error detection. The RX7i system, consisting of multiple IC698RMX016 modules, must be installed in a conductive metal housing or equivalent to meet radiation emission standards.
