Communication protocol support
COMLI Protocol: COMLI can be used with the built-in COM3 port or CI853 port, is an ABB protocol for data transfer between controllers, designed for half-duplex asynchronous master/slave communication, supports application-controlled dial-up modems, CI853 supports master/slave mode in COMLI, RS-232C is a standard communication interface for serial communication with COMLI.
MODBUS RTU protocol: Modbus RTU is an open serial (RS-232 or RS-485) protocol derived from master/slave architectures that exchange information in half-duplex mode, CI853 only supports master mode in MODBUS RTU. The Modbus function can be configured on the COM port of the AC 800M and CI853.
Siemens 3964R: Available for the built-in COM3 port or optionally for the CI853 port, requiring a standard RS-232C/485 communication channel.
Custom serial communication: available with the built-in COM3 port (on the AC 800M controller), as well as the CI853 port.
Functional characteristics
Hot swap: Supports hot swap. That is, modules can be inserted or removed when the system is running without affecting the normal running of the system and facilitating system maintenance and upgrade.
High-speed transmission: It can support high-speed data transmission and meet the application scenarios with high real-time requirements.
High stability: The design considers the harsh industrial environment, and adopts the circuit design with strong anti-interference ability and high stability.
Multi-interface support: In addition to RS232 interfaces, other communication interfaces may also be supported, such as RS485, CAN, etc., to facilitate connection with different types of devices.
Easy scalability: The modular design is convenient for users to expand according to actual needs, improving the flexibility and maintainability of the system.
