Fieldbus communication
Through various communication and Ethernet interfaces, users can integrate the UMC100 into different fieldbus networks, such as PROFIBUS DP/PROFINET
IO, DeviceNet, MODBUS/ModbusTCP. Through the fieldbus, users can access all measurement data, status signals and parameters.
The UMC controller can be used independently (i.e. no fieldbus communication required).
Motor protection and motor management are fully effective in case of bus failure.
The fieldbus interface and UMC controller can be installed independently. This provides many benefits for MCC applications, especially for drawer systems.
The protection and control functions are parameterized with the corresponding device description file depending on the fieldbus. In addition, the Device Type Manager (DTM) makes it very easy to configure the device from the laptop, which can also be done within the control system.
