NI SCXI-1163R Digital Output module
Main characteristics
Channel configuration: It features 32 digital output channels, which are divided into 8 independent groups, with each group containing 4 output lines. Such a grouping design enables users to flexibly control different output combinations according to actual needs, enhancing the configurability and adaptability of the system.
Electrical compatibility: The output is compatible with TTL (Transistor-Transistor Logic) and CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor) logic levels, which means it can be conveniently connected and communicated with various devices based on TTL or CMOS logic, expanding its application range.
Isolation protection: By adopting optical isolation technology, it can effectively eliminate the problem of grounding loops. It can isolate the host computer from harmful voltages, providing protection for computer equipment and preventing it from being affected by large common mode voltages, ground loops and voltage spikes, thereby enhancing the stability and reliability of the system.
Output capacity: It can drive various loads, withstand a maximum voltage of 240VAC/VDC, and has an output current limit of 1mA. This strong output capacity enables it to adapt to the load demands of different types and scales.
Connection method
Rear connector: Equipped with a 50-pin male ribbon cable rear connector, it is used to connect with other parts of the data acquisition system to achieve data transmission and interaction of control signals.
Front connector: The 48-pin DIN C male front connector is adopted, which can be connected to the screw terminal of the SCXI-1326 terminal block. It can also be connected to the TBX-1326 rail-mounted terminal block to the module through the SH48-48-B shielded cable, facilitating users to connect and wire external devices.
Working mode
Multiplexer mode: Allows a data acquisition instrument to read 32-bit digital mode from the information registers of one or more SCXI modules via the SCXI bus using a serial data protocol. This mode can use up to 5 DIO (Digital Input/Output) lines of the data acquisition instrument at most, saving system resources to a certain extent.
Parallel mode: Each module is directly connected to digital I/O data acquisition devices, such as 503 (DIO-24), 6533 (DIO-32 HS), 6534 and 6508 (DIO-96), etc. This mode can achieve faster and more direct data transmission and control, and is suitable for application scenarios with high requirements for response speed.
