NI SCXI-1122 Signal Conditioning Module
Overview
SCXI-1122 is an 8-channel strain gauge and thermocouple input module, which can convert the weak signals from strain gauges and thermocouples into signal levels suitable for measurement in data acquisition systems.
Main characteristics
Channel configuration: It features 8 channels, allowing for the simultaneous connection of 8 strain gauges or thermocouples to achieve multi-channel synchronous measurement.
Input types: It supports two input types, strain gauges and thermocouples. Through the software, the input mode of each channel can be flexibly configured to meet different measurement requirements.
Strain gauge measurement: For strain gauge measurement, multiple excitation methods are provided to adapt to different types and specifications of strain gauges. It has high-precision strain measurement capabilities and can accurately measure minute strain changes. The measurement range usually covers from micro-strain to thousands of micro-strains.
Thermocouple measurement: It can be directly connected to various types of thermocouples, such as common models like J, K, T, and E. The built-in cold junction compensation circuit can precisely compensate for the influence of environmental temperature changes on the thermocouple measurement, ensuring the accuracy of temperature measurement. The temperature measurement range is wide, which can meet the temperature measurement requirements under different industrial environments and experimental conditions.
Signal conditioning: Each channel has an independent signal conditioning circuit, including amplifiers, filters, etc. The amplifier can amplify weak input signals, and the gain can be set through software programming to adapt to sensors of different sensitivities. The filter can effectively suppress noise and improve signal quality. Parameters such as the cut-off frequency can be adjusted according to actual applications.
Performance parameters
Strain measurement accuracy: Usually within ±0.1% of the full scale, it can provide high-precision strain measurement results.
Temperature measurement accuracy: For thermocouple measurement, the temperature measurement accuracy can reach ±1℃ or higher, depending on the type of thermocouple and the measurement range.
Sampling rate: Supports a relatively high sampling rate, generally up to several thousand Hz, which can meet the requirements of dynamic strain and temperature measurement.
Input impedance: The input impedance of the strain gauge is relatively high, usually greater than 10MΩ, to reduce the load effect on the strain gauge measurement circuit. The input impedance of the thermocouple matches the type of thermocouple it is connected to, ensuring the accuracy of signal transmission.
